Exciting News for Bainbridge Island Parks
Two former state waterfront parks, one on the south end and the other on the north, are now part of the Bainbridge Island Parks and Recreation. For anyone who has visited Fay Bainbridge or Fort Ward Parks, this is exciting news! Along with its waterfront access that includes a boat ramp, Fort Ward Park includes tons of wooded trails and is a great place to pick blackberries. On the northeast portion of the island is Fay Bainbridge, with a great beach, playground, camping spots and a shelter that can be rented for parties. An article written by Tristan Baurick in The Bainbridge Islander has more details.
